Every pound goes into a room with someone in it: a class, a food parcel, a counselling session, a birthday party for a child who would not otherwise have one.
What your donation funds
- Free classes: English, Urdu, Arabic, digital skills and study groups
- Food parcels and practical help for families going without
- Counselling, advocacy and bereavement support, by appointment
- Wellbeing walks, health checks and the dementia memory café
- Festival celebrations and trips that bring neighbours together
- The costs of staying a proper charity: governance, insurance and our venue
We are volunteer-led, so a very high proportion of what you give reaches the work itself.
Ways to give
- Call 07445 405350 or email info@nlmwa.co.uk and we will arrange a one-off or regular donation with you
- Give in person at any NLMWA event, iftar or open day
- Fundraise your own way: a birthday collection, a walk, a bake sale, a matchday
- Give in kind: a room, a van, a printer, laptops, a photocopier, or skills you already have
- Leave a gift in your will — our office can talk you through what that involves
We do not take card payments on this website yet. Email or call us and we will send you bank details, or set up a standing order with you. Regular giving is the most useful: it lets us plan a year ahead.
Where the money is going
Our accounts are published every year and filed with the Scottish Charity Regulator. If you would like a copy, or an explanation of any line in them, ask and we will send it. Our charity number is SC045588.
