Funding the work behind the activities
The Grant Award Programme, known as GAP, provides core and operational support from North Lanarkshire Council. It supports the coordination, volunteer support and day-to-day organisational work behind NLMWA’s projects.
Keeping services going
NLMWA’s 2026 annual report records GAP’s contribution to continuity of services, organisational stability and ongoing activities. Its role is to help sustain the organisation rather than fund a single class or event.
Supporting the community hub effort
The 2025 annual report also records support for ongoing activities and Community Asset Transfer process expenses. This links GAP to the practical work of pursuing a permanent community home, without changing the hub campaign’s status: that effort remains ongoing.
