North Lanarkshire Muslim Women & Family Alliance
Micro Fund
A foundation for young people to participate, volunteer and develop leadership.
Establishing youth engagement
The Micro Fund – Community Empowerment project helped establish a foundation for NLMWA’s youth engagement work. Its focus was on involving young people in community activity.
Participation and responsibility
Supported by North Lanarkshire Council, the project encouraged young people to participate, volunteer and develop leadership skills. These are the areas of contribution recorded in the 2026 annual report.
A distinct completed project
The Micro Fund project is completed. It is separate from the NL Challenge Fund’s Youth Empowerment Volunteer Event; the six volunteers and more than 35 participants recorded for that event are not Micro Fund figures.
